National Examination is needed by the government to measure quality standard of education in national level but it will emerge some problems when it is used to judge whether a certain student can pass or not. Some people say that the graduation based on the result of the National Examination tends to deappreciate students’ and teachers’ works during 3 years. As if their hard efforts were not included into account to judge the students’ graduation. Nowdays there are pro and contra opinion about it whether it will be abolished or continued. NOTHING, those sacrifices mean NOTHING when they hang their fate on da national examination nd dat goes fer us too. 2nd, determining students' graduation from da result of national examination doesnt resemble da true spirit of study. y is dat? cuz i think we study bcause we wanna achieve our goals in da future. yah i kno theory is important, but sadly when it goes to NATIONAL EXAM, we'll aim to pass the exam as if we go to school juz to get good mark or maybe dis kind of thought will pop in our head "MY FUTURE DEPENDS ON DA RESULT OF DIS NATIONAL EXAM SO I CANT FAIL NO MATTER WAT". see da words NO MATTER WAT, i think dats da goal of da students who hav to fight fer their future by passing da national examination nd dat culd lead em to legalize any kinds of way whether they r good or not, as long as they can pass the exam wit gud marks, they wont care about it cuz none of us wants to fail nd waste our time nd sacrifices. i think dat doesnt resemble da true meaning of study at all.
3rd, national examination cant be used to decide whether a certain student can pass or not cuz even if he/s can do well in da test by him/herslef nd he/s is a clever student in his/her school, but fer some reasons (can be a problem about da test sheet) he/s fails da test while the others pass it (dont care whether they cheated or not). AINT DAT UNFAIR? yah DATS UNFAIR...cuz though da gov made da same standard in national but da security system in each school isnt da same, so i can imagine how unfair dat is, PLAYING AROUND WIT MARKS as if studyin means nothing...
now fer my conclusion, i think national examination shuld be abolished cuz it isnt an accurate device to decide whether a certain student can pass or not nd there r some useless impacts caused by it juz like wat r stated above. even if its impossible fer da gov to abolish da national examination, then da gov can continue it but shouldnt use it as da determiner of students graduation, so da gov can use da national examination only to measure da students' knowledge, not to determine their graduation. graduation should be determined by da daily learing results @school, its FAIR and FAR MORE ACCURATE.

In my opinion, I'd say I agree if national examination should be abolished. Because, yes.. we know that many schools in Indonesia was judged by people because a few students there can't pass the examination. It's not fair to know that they've been studying hard there (I mean in the high school) since three previous years. How can we judge student's succes depends on (just) 6 days examination after they had studied hard for 3 years? It is not fair! The governmnt has a duty to make the justice change (rule). But, if they cared that it was not fair, they would change the rule and abolish the national examination! Wohoo...! ................but I think it's not to be.. T.T
Aaaaaaaaand, don't forget about --------------- cheating! Many students didn't do their test themself (a lot of them I mean not at all). I mean, all of schools in Indonesia want their student to pass the national examination with a great mark.. So, if the national examination was abolished, i think, it would let all of the students pass the examination even though they get a bad mark for that examination..

So if the National Exam's cancelled, it would make some sides became disappointed. The teachers who have prepared some strategies, taught and trained their students with some exercises drill, will feel that their efforts are useless. As well as the teachers, the students will feel the same feeling too. However, there are some points that must be reviewed. Like the point of using NE result as the satndard of passing for 12th grade students. We cant use that result to measure the real capability of the students. I think the National Exams must be held. Because basicly the senior highs have prepared a learning strategies to face it. So if the NE is deleted it will cause a disappointment, especially to the teacher and the student, like the students have to attend morning course, as well as the teachers. FIRST...
National exam should be conducted within the context of it's not as the final judge of graduation but more as national student and school's quality mapping. since it's unwise that the long process of years learning determined only by few days of national exam. The aim of learning result is not the destination but the odyssey of learning.
SECOND...
The cumulative passing grade system enable to be alternative scoring method because it is better than national exam. It's more comprehensive, accountable, and fair to decide the students' graduation. The teacher can monitor and evaluate students' learning progress during the process in order to determine the graduation
THIRD...
To improve our national pedagogical quality, the govt must take massive actions such as revise the curriculum, increase the teacher's salary, revitalize the national educational standards, reconstruct damaged school infrastructures, reevaluate the bestow of ineffective and inaccurate school grant projects, and most importantly more focused on students' moral building.

Our future is just decided for 6 day… where is Justice?? Every student have followed “pengayaan” and it takes long day.. and it’s useless when they didn’t pass.
And how about among those days the student are sick...??? They must take the day that chosen for this situation.

For government, National Exam is aimed to maintain the quality of education nationwide and to set up the national standard for junior and senior high schools. For this reason, the previous administration insisted that National Exam could not be eliminated.
However, the practice doesn’t sound as nice as that stated goal. It was reported that many students cheated in the exam. NOT ONLY STUDENTS, sometimes SOME TEACHERS were also reported helping their students to cheat. I think this humiliating practice occured because students were pushed to pass their education. Because the exam’s result influenced whether a student would pass his education or not, the students cheated in the exam in order to get good result. Besides, schools were also pushed to pass as many as possible their students because how many students they could pass and what the average result of the exam they could get determined their prestige and reputation among the public. For this reason, the schools demanded their teachers to help the students cheating in the exam.
Because that, I think UN should be abholised than many STUDENTS and TEACHERS do not good action just to one statement "PASS UN". Our GOD will not like it....

I think it isn't fair if the students success is only from National Examination, because we will have studied in SMA almost 3 years, it isn't short time. we have learned everything, and too much problem was experienced by us. whereas, National Examination is only held in 6 days it isn't fair with 3 years that we have done if the students success is only from 6 days taht we sit in a hot chair to face National Examination.
the credibility of NE is also doubt, becz we don't know about the integrity of the result. it's not sure that the students will do NE by their own ability, they can cheat with their friends. So, NE can't be a measurement of student's success.
And if there is no certainty that the result of NE will be a standart competency of students to enter University. i think NE is useless for us.

One of the purpose of this program is to increase quality of Indonesian people, expecially for the students. But in fact, until this year Indonesia is unsuccesful all the NE's participant to pass 100%. Because f that, i'm disagree with NE.
1st, NE is not effective for students. I think when the students doing NE, a lot of them doing unhonest activity like cheating to his/her friend. They want to get the best answer for their pass. And it is not pure quality from the students.
2nd, NE is not efficient. In my opinion, NE needs a lot money and time to make question. And it needs an extra energy from begin until the and.
3th, to know students' quality, it can doing in each school by school examination. I'm sure who know about students' quality is their teacher. With doing school examination, we know about thee really students' quality.
4th, If we continue our study in hight institution, i think NE is not needed. We just need school report or doing test.
5th, NE can disturb students' psychology. Many students will fell afraid with their examination. They think that they can pass or not. And when after the NE's report they are nt pass, they will get stress.
In conclution, i am disagree with NE because it is not effective and efficient and also there are many bad impact from this. Beside that, it can dangerous students' soul. So that, NE sould be obolished.

In addition many large countries that use national exam. For example the United States also uses a national exam called the High School Assessment Program (HASP). In the HASP execution of all students no one spoke at all, should not bring mobile phones, if someone put their hand into the pocket they immediately removed from the room, teachers also should not be reading about the test if there is a teacher read the test, teacher teaching license revoked immediately. If the national exam in Indonesia carried out such that would not be cheating and the quality of education in Indonesia must be increased. Besides the national examination results should also not be used fully to determine a student's graduation, but also must consider the results of their study during the school. So that the national examination is only used to improve the quality of education in Indonesia is not used as a determinant of a student's graduation.

I absoluty agree that the Nasional Examinaton should be abolished, because:
first, in the Nasional Examination the student must work by himself, but in fact many students are dishonest, for example cheating with his/her friends to do the test.It's not good. The score the score they get is not the one they deserve.
second,the score of the nasional examination is not enough to evaluate the student activities in school during the year.
And I think score of the nasional examination is not the most important is to get high school diploma to enter University.so, the most important is to get your diploma and later to be succesful at the entrance exam for University.

When goverment just judge the students succes based on the nasional examination, It means that our middle test, our homework and our assigment which we had done till evening and made us lost our childhood and our right to have fun with our friends are useless.
So, why we spent our time to study in the school every day if our graduated is not based our study during three years.
As we know there are many students doing cheating during final examination and maybe some students were sick when nasional examination held.

BalasHapusGraduation should be determined by daily result in school. It is just because, the theacher who teach us everyday for 3 years, are know how is our capability in learning the subject and know well our behaviour because being smart is not enough if we dont have attitude.
More over now we use KTSP as the curriculum, that involve the school to creat it. So not every school have the same content of curriculum. For example, the school in the downtown teach the food like pizza, spagheti, etc and the school in the suburb also teach about the food but with diferent menu like Gado-Gado, fried banana, etc. It is just because there are no pizza and spagheti in the suburb. So, if we use the national final examination to determined our graduation, i dont think so it can show the real result for the student.
National final exam have the same question for all over the province. It is made by the teacher and others who live in the city. So the content of the question is about what they have teach in the city school, but how about the school in the suburb? Did they have the same content? I dont think so. That is why i really dissagre if our graduation is only based from the national examination.

Second, national examination can't be used to measure the educational quality because every school has different quality.
and the last, The national examination cause many other problem. For example, there was a student killed himself because he didn't pass the examination.
the other case is there were a student who was very smart. He had accepted in singapore university by PMDK way before national examination held. But he didn't pass national examination because he was ill when national examination held. So, he can't continue his study.

BalasHapusI could disagree if UAN eliminated,because in determining a graduation is not required only one test. Therea are many other tests that can be used to determine of graduation, for example UAS,exam practice etc. I think the right to decide for graduate students is the teacher himself. The teacher knows the ability and behavior of each student. If the goverment continues to use national examination to determine a passing grade acording to our tutor hard work during these three years means nothing. Moreover, technological developments are now growing rapidly,with easy to followthe example students answers from their friends. Therefore, new regulations need to anticipate undersirable events. In addition to the most students are more likely to think that national examination ias a scary thing, this will effect the psychology of students and make student stress, coupled with the standart of students passing each year increased by the goverment. Students who every day are considered smart and capable do the problems which are given by the teacher, when faced national examination be stupid because of depression.
At this time there are many debate about the national examination, which considers national examination there is no test to determine graduation and on the other hand said that national examination is not decisive for graduate students.

I disagree if UAN will still be held. Because, the graduation of the students is not important if UAN is celebrated by National, but enough just in school level. If UAN still celebrated for search the quality of National education, so that it's not important to be done every year. With some periods 3-5 years, its enough time to survey. In fact, the result of UAN up to now just stop in the survey level. The students ability to do the examination sure different, hung up with the condition in body and soul. How very misfortune if a student in UAN day he/she get sick, or the soul condition got stressed by the economics situation of his/her family. If they failed to complete the UAN examination, so they will be in trouble/great disaster. How high the value of daily exercises as long as now, it means nothing. That is why the daily exercises follow to be parameter of the pass of students, not only depend on UAN.

BalasHapusI WAS CONFUSED RESPONSE THIS ISSUE OF NATIONAL EXAMINATIONS,MOST STUDENTS DID THE EXAM PHOBIA VIEW,THE FACT IS DUE TO EXCESSIVE PHOBIA TENDS TO BE DOWN IN THE NATIONAL EXAMS IS UNPREDICTABLE,WHICH USUALLY EXCEL IN THE CLASSROOM,IT FALLS IN VALUE, STUDENTS WHO LESS PROMINENT IN THE CLASS CAN BEAT A MORE CLEVER . SO I THINK THE NATONAL EXAM IS NOT EFFECTIVE.....

BalasHapusI don't agree with National Examination to judge the student pass or not. we know that student study in Senior High School during three years, but with National Examination that had just six days can judge the student.
I think it is not fair for student. the teacher understand more about their student and inthe fact about National Examination is not fair. many student use handphone to cheating with his or her friends to get answer from them.Although National Examination keep by police, but it can not stop dishonest in National Examination.
We don't know about our condition in the next time when we do our National Examination.If we have bad condition we can't pass the test. Although we have good mark in the daily test in the school, our government must be think about it. Any student had been accept by University, she or he is very clever, than he or she can't pass National Examination and lost her or his dream to study in her or his favorite University. is it fair for them? and the other student who their mark are not so good can pass his or her National Examination with many ways. in the fact many ways to pass National Examination, they are paper boom, giving the answer from the teacher to his or her student, etc.
it show that the National Examination is not effective and to do it our government need much money. our government can not see the quality of student in Indonesia, because many wrong ways to do the National Examination and the information that the government get about National Examination is not accurate.

well, I want to give my opinion too,hehe,,,
I'm not totally agree if natinal test be abolished from learning...
I've many argument about it,,
1st,national test is very helpfull to know the ability of student during in learning. If there's no final test,so???how we know our skill??? it will be better if the goverment has a good way to overcome this problem.
2nd,in the other side we know that the goverment isn't fair, the student who can't reach the standart score is jugded that he/she not graduated. I think the goverment didn't look our efford during 3 years in school...
I don't know sir,,
I'm still confuse about it...

second, many studends do chat there.so, the score isn't the real score of each studends. the NE scorein SMA can't used to join to the University

I don't like UN (hehe^^).. because it can make me (a student) stress... and can make my friend stress too... and also make all student from Indonesian stress
UN just only a week and school 3 years and the the passing judgement a week.... it's no fair from student.
and there are many negative think from student and because of it, I dissagree wit UN.

BalasHapusI think the national exam is neccesary abolished,because it's not comparablefor three years when our school,only six daysspecified for graduation...
After all we know so far that may colored national examination cheating, for example the use of mobile phones to spread the answers..
Cheating is done only to get passed the tittle and gain the recognition from the community that the school is the best school with his student earned value....
Though not neccesarily high value obtained to determine success of national college entrance..
So,better passing each school determined by its school. From there,national college can determine which school is the best....

Ok, now, I will tell about my opinion. I agree if National Examination should be abolished. Why ? Because ....
First, I think National Examination can make student (included me as student) be stress. Because, National Examination was add student burden. Whereas, in school, student has got task and test who has made them be stress. So, they can't play every day. Therefore, National Examination can make student be stress.
Second, National Examination is not fair. Because, if ours condition is not healthy, so ours brain can't work in an optimum manner. So, our value became bad. That, very not fair for smart student. Especially they get good value every day. And National Examination is very not fair for student.
Ok, I think that's all, and I hope government should be abolished National Examination. Wassalamu'alaikum....

BalasHapusFor me,the national final exam is an effective way for the goverment and school to decide the student graduated.. Why? Because,todays the student doing cheating and other instan ways like SMS or others to get the best mark in order to pass the national final exam... For this condition,we can know that the student score in national final exam isn't the real score... So,the national final exam isn't the one way to judge the student graduated or not...

BalasHapusIn my opinion, I agree if National examination held, because altough there are many judment that this final examination can broken young generation because ao "CHAETING" case. But, in fact, there are many more student which is doing that examination whit honest and right way....
Although national examination held, but the mark from this examination may not use to establish school graduation. Because, it's not fair for student that doing the exam with honestly. so the school garduation can dertemain by look up their mark from their daily in first, second and third grade....

BalasHapusBefore we have NE we have meeting with all teachers. the headmaster said if we want to be succed we have to pay 25.000 per student to get " Conte an" then we collect the money from the student to pay the "key answer' that really happened. please be honest.... in your school all my brothers as teachers,... this happened too ?
